This song is slowly starting to grow on me. I don’t imagine I will ever love it, but I now do not hate it. I think what I appreciate is the lead singer’s intensity. I’m not a huge fan of the song itself, but I quite like her. I can certainly feel her passion about singing, and it makes me excited for her. I wonder if she wouldn’t have been more interesting in a better song.
Lithuania rarely has my favorite song, and this year is clearly no exception. However, at least they are different this year. And while I can’t really understand what the song is about and I am certainly not always in the mood for it, I can appreciate it for what it is.
Watching the performance is seizure-inducing. There is sooooo much going on on stage, and I really hope they are able to edit their performance and scale way way back before the show. If it goes through like this, I think it is doomed to flop. Even though the song stands out from the crowd in terms of sound and feel, I just can’t see anyone liking that much flashing light. It really distracts from the singer. I think this will have trouble qualifying, and if by some evil miracle both this and Latvia manage to qualify, their two songs will cancel each other out, as they both feel similar. However, I don’t think this will make the cut.
